![]() Choose a survivor to set forth and explore the ruins of civilization, finding fuel to travel to new locations and gathering supplies to craft weapons and more. Aftermath is an all new, premium singleplayer standalone action adventure rogue-lite. In a final attempt to start fresh as a couple they take the deal. Upon finishing the flick, I’d encourage any viewer to read into the bizarre tale. Release Date: Early Access Release Date: May 1, 2020. A young couple struggling to stay together, when they are offered an amazing deal on a home with a questionable past that would normally be beyond their means. One thing worth noting, however, would have to be the fact that Aftermath was based, albeit loosely, on a true story that occurred roughly one hundred years ago, which involved Walburga Oesterreich, a German born American housewife, married to Fred William Oesterreich in Los Angeles. They shifted to a new house to enjoy their marriage. The movie feels more manipulative than it. The subsequent setup for Jake is equally awkward the first 20 minutes, taken together, show that director Elliott Lester has little feel for human behavior. Filmmakers can sometimes be criticised for trying to blend a multitude of genres, but I felt like Aftermath was written well enough to come across as watchable and somewhat enjoyable at the same time. Aftermath 2021 20 m IMDb RATING 5.3 /10 32 YOUR RATING Rate Short Thriller Hrishi and Riya are newly married couple. Inspired by a true story, Aftermath starts awkwardly with an upbeat beginning that basically guarantees - and cheapens - the tragedy to come. A large majority of the movie, especially the first hour, seemed to come across as a drama that told the rather complicated story of a relationship going through some testing times, while a suspenseful, murder mystery element entered the fray as the screentime wore on. ![]() With that being said, Aftermath certainly wasn’t just a horror film. ![]() Natalie recently cheated on Kevin, and despite them still being together, and still being in love, the affair still left things between them strained. Natalie Dadich (Ashley Greene) and Kevin Dadich (Shawn Ashmore) are a young couple whose relationship isn't in the best place right now. Like in the film, Aftermath, Jerry and Janice’s mail suspiciously stopped being sent to them, and their mail box was empty for days on end, prompting them to suspect foul play. Aftermath is a Horror Movie by Peter Winther. Almost instantaneously, the classic horror cliches you’d expect in such a picture, jumped out as being prevalent from the first minute, right up until the last, with barking dogs, creaking doors, disappearing objects and needlessly long-drawn-out scenes, being just a few on display. While this was obviously strange, Jerry and Janice brushed off the strange event as nothing more than a weird prank. Starring: Ashley Greene, Shawn Ashmore, Britt Baron, Diana HopperĪdvertised primarily as a horror, I was a little surprised after sitting down and watching Aftermath – a film released in what seems like dark times for the industry on a whole. Ultimately, in its half-finished state, Aftermath has some satisfying stealth moments but as a full game it feels pretty vapid and repeats it’s main tricks just a few too many times. ![]()
